Kosovo’s COVID-19 death toll tops 2,000

More than a year after the first Kosovo citizen died of COVID-19, the state passed 2,000 total deaths on Tuesday.

The National Institute of Public Health reported 12 additional fatalities Tuesday, raising the total to 2,008.

The Institute in its daily update reported also 494 new infections bringing the country’s total to 98,835.

In the last 24 hours 1,009 patients have recovered, decreasing the number of active COVID-19 cases to 13,236. /GazetaExpress/
