Kosovo Army to build biggest military base in Mitrovica

The Municipality of Mitrovica South has approved Friday a decision to transfer a piece property under the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) ownership for building of the biggest military base in Kosovo.

Reportedly in the place called Cerrnusha Peak will be built the biggest military camp which in addition to the KSF will be used by other NATO armies serving with the Kosovo peacekeeping mission of KFOR.

Mitrovica South Mayor Agim Bahtiri said that the land transferred under Kosovo Army ownership has 191 hectares and will serve to all citizens regardless of their background.

Deputy minister of the Kosovo Security Force Enver Dugolli thanked the municipal authorities of Mitrovica South for the unanimous vote saying that this is the biggest project the KSF has approved and will be the biggest military base in Kosovo. /GazetaExpress/
