Kosovo President Osmani, PM Kurti to attend Madeleine Albright’s funeral

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti are expected to travel to US today when they will attend the funeral of the former US secretary of state Madeleine Albright, Gazeta Express reports.

Osmani and Kurti will attend the funeral on Wednesday at the invitation of the Albright family. Former US secretary of state died last month at age 84.

Albright served as secretary of state from 1997 to 2001. She is respected in Kosovo for pushing NATO’s intervention in 1999 to stop Serbia’s ethnic cleansing of Albanians in Kosovo. /GazetaExpress/
